At Cornerstone Aviation Academy (CSAA), we are dedicated to igniting a passion for aviation in the hearts of young people, especially those from underserved communities. Our mission is to build an educational pipeline that guides students from K-12 through our FAA-accredited ACE Academy, and onward to careers in the aviation industry.
About ACE Academies:
ACE Academies were introduced by the FAA in 1989, initially targeting colleges and universities that offered higher education curricula and programs in aerospace. With years of experience in conducting the academies at that level, FAA and co-sponsors started branching out to institutions that work with students. This program is based on successful experiences conducting ACE Academies in the past, the current research on aerospace education, and similar programs developed for students.
ACE Academies generally run between June and September and reach over 2,000 students each summer. These summer programs expose students to the following activities:

Lessons in flight planning, aviation history, and the physics of flight

Field trips to aviation-related sites

Instruction on aircraft design and maintenance

Flight simulations and, in some locations, flights in aircraft
