FROM CAREER EXPLORATION TO APPRENTICESHIP
JAG helps students develop the employability, leadership, and life skills needed to prepare for the workplace. Cornerstone builds upon that foundation through aviation-specific career exploration, technical preparation, employer engagement, work-based learning, and apprenticeship-connected experiences.
Together, JAG and Cornerstone create a structured pathway that helps students:
Explore aviation careers → Build employability skills → Participate in aviation work-based learning → Complete a pre-apprenticeship → Advance into a Registered Apprenticeship, postsecondary education, military service, or aviation employment
JAG’s classroom-to-career model aligns naturally with skilled-trade and apprenticeship pathways by connecting academic support, workforce preparation, career exploration, and employer engagement.

Expanding Access to Opportunity
Cornerstone and JAG share the belief that a student’s circumstances should not determine their future. By working together, we can reach students who may not otherwise have access to aviation careers, help them recognize their abilities, and connect them with the education, experience, mentoring, and industry relationships needed to succeed.
This partnership helps students build successful futures while strengthening the aviation workforce pipeline throughout the Kansas City region and beyond.
